It is with great pleasure that we share our appreciation for your support of The Children’s Hospital through Armor Steel Buildings and the Buildings for Babies program. So many of the Children’s family recall your first visit nearly three years ago when Melody was diagnosed with two ventricular septal defects. Melody was 11 months old when she joined our family of patients at the Cardiac Care Center. Your strong faith in the cardiology team of Drs. Robert Wolfe and David Campbell ensured a successful heart surgery. Today, Melody is a healthy young lady whose smile brings joy to your family and ours!

Thank you for believing in The Children’s Hospital and our team of doctors and nurses at the Cardiac Care Center.  You know well the value of working with staff experts in caring for the pediatric population.  After all, kids need a kids’ hospital. The numbers for the Cardiac Care Center speak for themselves:

¨       The Center had over 7,000 patient visits in 2002

¨       The Center performed over 300 life-saving surgical procedures in 2002 including 19 heart transplants

¨       The Center performed over 600 interventional and diagnostic catherization procedures in 2002. Many of the interventional procedures are done to correct defects of the heart that up until a few years ago could only be corrected through open heart surgery

¨       The center is world-wide leader in the care of pulmonary hypertension, arrythmias, and heart transplantation

Your commitment to ensuring that the Cardiac Care Center at Children’s continues to be a leading center of care in the country, has led to the creation of the Building for Babies program. This program has provided critically needed funds for research projects and the purchase of state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. You have shared the success of your company, Armor Steel Buildings, through Building for Babies and numerous special events, and as a result given many children in our community a chance at life.

Jannice, your tireless efforts to grow a company from an idea into one that sells buildings in all 50 states and overseas are truly admirable. Your same expectations for growth for the Building for Babies program are even more remarkable. To date your support has helped provide resources to treat congenital heart defects in children. Your future support will allow us to recruit the best doctors, fellows and residents in cardiology, and provide the resources to help them find the answeres to cure or prevent congenital heart defects.

You bring hope to the children and families that walk through the doors of The Children’s Hospital everyday. We look forward to working together to achieve your dream of keeping a childhood filled with smiles and only the best memories.  Tomorrow’s generation depends upon partnerships like ours.

Gratefully,
